The Mississippi Valley Holstein Club donated more than 2,300 pounds of Borden Cheese to nine food pantries in West Central Illinois on Thursday.

Those pantries were in Adams, Brown, and Pike County.

Each summer the group raises money through the milkshake stand at the Adams County Fair.

The cheese was purchased with proceeds from the milkshake sales.

Dot Foods transported the cheese from the manufacturing plant to the distribution location in Quincy.
