      Santorum campaigns in Hannibal

      Presidential hopeful U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum is in Hannibal, Mo. Friday ahead of Tuesday's Republican presidential primary.

      The former Pennsylvania senator began his day at 8:30 a.m. at the Mark Twain Dinette, 400 N. 3rd St. where he met with patrons.

      A rally will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Adm. Coontz Armory.

      Santorum is trailing former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich, according to the most recent Gallup poll.

      Romney is favored by 30 percent with Gingrich trailing at 26 percent. The poll shows Santorum in third place with 16 percent.
