Hannibal residents re-elected Mayor Roy Hark in Tuesday's election.
He won the election with almost 75 percent of the votes, defeating challengers Lou Barta and Monica Williams.
This will be Hark's 5th term as mayor.
He started his career as mayor in 2001.
Hark said the next step in his mayoral career is to continue work on the streets of Hannibal.
One of Hark's projects is a sidewalk along Palmyra Road from Hannibal High School to Riverview Park.
He said this will make the walk safer for students.
Former councilman Lou Barta said that although he didn't win, he still plans to work with the city to make it cleaner and more presentable.
