IL Secretary of State congratulates U.S. Senator Dick Durbin
Illinois Secretary of State, Jesse White, congratulates U.S. Senator Dick Durbin on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Durbin became the longest serving popularly elected senator from Illinois in the state's history.

Dick has done an outstanding job representing Illinois, first in the United States House of Representatives, and continuing with his election in 1996 to the United States Senate. He has served with pride and distinction, reaching the position of Senate Majority Whip and currently, Minority Whip. He is one of the most knowledgeable people in public life and because of that he is a regular on national interview programs conveying positions on sensitive national and international issues. Illinois is fortunate to be served by Dick Durbin and we have benefitted greatly by his time in public office.
