One Class at a Time winner uses money for educational toys
We are a few weeks into the new school year and teachers are busy with their new students.
KHQA was able to catch up with a previous One Class at a Time winning teacher to see how those funds are helping her new class start the school year right.
Sara Clark is a preschool teacher in Monroe City.
She was selected in April as a $500 winner by our sponsors at the time - Continental Cement, Green America Recycling, ETC Computerland and Titan International.
She says the money was used to buy some new toys that make learning fun for her students.
"We were able to get tons of learning tools for our kids. Lots of hands-on toys that I haven't had. Just fun activities that the kids don't know they are learning with but they are learning the skills they need for kindergarten," said Clark.
