A Wyoming, Illinois man is going back to prison for defrauding a senior citizen.
Hancock County Sheriff Scott Bentzinger reports 59-year-old Perry Porter pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated home repair fraud. The charge is a Class 2 felony.
Porter was sentenced to five years and six months in state prison.
An investigation by the Sheriff's office showed Porter charged a senior citizen about $1,000 per hour for several hours of repair to their home. The investigation consulted a licensed contractor who estimated the repair should have only cost about $500 total.
Porter was ordered to pay $6,700 in restitution to the victim.
This is the third time Porter has been sentenced on fraud charges.
