Woman sues Schuyler County Sheriff's Department claiming excessive force used in jail

A Schuyler County resident is suing the Schuyler County Sheriff's Department.
According to the Jacksonville Journal-Courier, Hope Cox claims a correctional officer used excessive force in a Sept. 3 incident at the Schuyler County Jail.
Cox was serving a sentence on weekends for driving on a revoked license.
She claims a correction officer used a stun gun and excessive force against her September 3 when she was five weeks pregnant.
Cox went to a Rushville hospital days later where she was told she suffered a miscarriage.
