A Randolph County woman was seriously injured after being involved in a train collision Thursday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol told Kristopher Jobe with our sister station KRCG that 48-year-old Teresa Beal of Higbee failed to yield for a train on South Randolph Street just after 8:30 p.m.
According to KRCG, the moving train drug Beal's car off the roadway where it hit a sign post, spun around and was hit again by the train throwing her from the car.
Beal was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.
She was not wearing her seat belt.
Authorities say a stop sign and railroad crossing sign were evident at the crossing.
