Woman convicted of stealing $100,000 from employer

An Adams County Judge has found a Quincy woman guilty of stealing more than $100,000 from her employer.

Vikki Uhlenbrock, 45, did not enter a plea before Judge Michael Roseberry to theft over $100,000.

Instead, First Assistant State's Attorney Gary Farha presented a stipulation of facts, and Uhlenbrock agreed the state could prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Roseberry then found her guilty.

Uhlenbrock will be sentenced Nov. 29, and her sentence could range from probation to 14 years in prison.

Uhlenbrock was a bookkeeper for Area Distributors in Quincy, which delivers sanitary maintenance products, paper supplies and office products.

She is accused of stealing for about a six-year period by keeping cash instead of properly depositing it.
