Woman accused of stealing money for Lewis Co. league

Katherine Oenning accused in Lewis County theft.

A Lewistown, Missouri woman is in trouble with the law accused of stealing money from an organization without its consent.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office says Katherine Oenning embezzled more than $3000 from the LEMO Recreational League.

Oenning served as secretary and treasurer of the organization.

She's also accused of writing a $700 check without the league's consent and using the money for her own purposes.

A formal complaint was filed last month.

Oenning was released after posting bond.
