Weather continues to affect Amtrak routes

Some train service cancelled for expected cold weather.

Amtrak cancelled some of its trains for Monday and the weather will continue to affect train routes into Tuesday.

Illinois Zephyr and Carl Sandburg trains 380 and 381 are canceled Tuesday on the Chicago-Macomb-Quincy corridor.

Cold weather in the region led to the change in schedule.

According to Amtrak, they are awaiting word from BNSF Railway Co. regarding service by trains 382 and 383 on the Chicago-Galesburg-Quincy corridor for Tuesday. The route was closed by BNSF late Sunday night and Monday trains 380, 381, 382 and 383 were canceled.
