VP Biden makes stops in Burlington, Ottumwa

Vice President Joe Biden will make a campaign stop in the Tri-States today.

He's scheduled to speak at the Port of Burlington around 3:20 this afternoon with the doors there opening at 1 p.m. He'll also be in Ottumwa and Grinnell on Tuesday.

According to The Burlington Hawk Eye, the Obama for America campaign's release did not mention the content of the remarks Biden is expected to make Monday.

Free tickets are required to attend the event and are only available at the Organizing for America offices in Fort Madison, Keokuk and Burlington.

Both vice presidential candidates will be in the battleground state of Iowa as Republican Paul Ryan is set to stop in Des Moines Monday.

Iowa's six electoral votes are critical to both President Barack Obama and challenger Mitt Romney and could be a deciding factor in the 2012 presidential race.
