Update: Two teenagers in better condition after deadly accident

The conditions of Allison Land and Gretchen Webster have improved.

Allison Land is still in the ICU at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill. Her status has been upgraded to serious.

Gretchen Webster's is now in fair condition at Univerity Hosptial in Columbia.


Two teenagers were killed and four others hurt following a two-car accident Monday night about three miles north of Hannibal on U.S. Highway 61.

16-year-old Danny Sawyer was pronounced dead at the scene. 16-year-old Jacob Sheffield died at University Hospitals in Columbia.

Around 10:30 p.m. Monday night, the Missouri Highway Patrol says a car driven by a 16-year-old Crystal Brocaille of Hannibal tried to cross Highway 61.

Her vehicle was then hit broadside by another vehicle driven by 19-year-old James Rosenkrans of Palmyra.

The drivers of both cars were treated from minor injuries.

Allison Land of Hannibal is in serious condition at Blessing Hospital.

Gretchen Webster of Hannibal is in critical condition at University Hospital in Columbia.
