With the new year comes hope that new negotiations between the Macomb School district and the teachers union will bring a resolution to the contract impasse in the district.
Macomb School Superintendent Patrick Twomey tells KHQA that both sides are scheduled to meet with a federal mediator this Thursday.
A second meeting with the mediator is scheduled for the 21st.
Twomey also says that both sides met informally at the beginning of the month and expressed a desire to see a resolution to the impasse as quickly as possible.
