Two-vehicle crash in West Quincy sends three to hospital

Crash on U.S. 24 in West Quincy on January 9

Three people were taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 24 Thursday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 6:35 p.m.

Michelle Dierker, 23, was driving in the eastbound lane of U.S. 24 about 4 miles east of Taylor when her car crossed the center of the roadway and struck the car driven by 64-year-old Bette Lovelace head-on.

Dierker and her two passengers, 19-year-old Sabrina Willis and a two-year-old child, were all taken to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries.

Lovelace was unharmed in the accident.

Both drivers and the two passengers involved were wearing seatbelts.

The Marion County Sheriff's Department and Adams County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
