Two Lewistown residents arrested; wanted man found hiding in a ditch
On December 14th, Lewis County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested a Lewistown, Missouri man.
An alert deputy noticed Shawn R. Knight near a field near Lewistown.
Knight was wanted for failure to appear on a leaving the scene of an accident case as well as for theft of construction tools.
Knight was located hiding in a ditch and was taken to the Lewis County Jail.
The 38-year-old is being held on two counts of stealing, both a class D felony.
Knight is alleged to have taken construction equipment, including generators and hand tools, from a construction site near Lewistown.
On Sunday, 23-year-old Tamara R. Cibert of Lewistown was arrested on two counts of stealing.
Cibert is an accomplice of Knight.
She remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail.
