Two individuals arrested in Quincy following meth investigation
On Wednesday, a drug investigation was initiated by the West Central Illinois Task Force on two Adams County residents suspected of trafficking Methamphetamine (ICE) from Missouri.
Surveillance was conducted on the two individuals and the investigation resulted in a traffic stop by Quincy Police Department's K9 Unit at 11:40 p.m. at 2nd and Maine in Quincy.
The two suspects, Jennifer L. Daugherty, age 37 of Mendon and Dustin K. Parson, age 31, reported homeless, were observed entering Illinois from Missouri and were found to be in possession of 50 or more grams of Methamphetamine (ICE) during a search.
Daugherty was arrested on the charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, 15-100 grams.
Parson was arrested on the charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, less than 5 grams.
Both were transported to the Adams County Jail were they remain lodged. The investigation is on going and additional arrests are expected.
The Quincy Police Department and the Adams County Sheriff's Office asisted in the investigation.
