Two confirmed dead following Quincy fire

Fire crews responded to the call of smoke coming out of the house around 5 p.m.

We now know that two people have died as a result of a house fire Saturday evening.

Adams County Coroner James Keller tells KHQA that Lewis Bassett, 43, and his one and a half year old son Ladavion, died in the Blessing Hospital Emergency Room.

A second young boy was pulled from the house fire and his condition is unknown.

Fire crews responded to reports of smoke coming out of the home at 921 N. 11th Street around 5:06 p.m.

Assistant Chief Rob Tipton tells KHQA when firefighters entered the northside of the house they found the three victims unconscious.

All three were then taken to Blessing.

Officials have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
