Two arrested after trailer park meth raid

Two Adams County residents are in jail Friday morning after a late night drug raid at a Mendon trailer park.
Law enforcement officials with the West Central Illinois Task Force, Adams County Sheriffs Office, and Illinois State Police arrested Charles Jenkins, 54, of Loraine and Christina Metz, 57, of Mendon at the Kropps Court trailer park Thursday.
Authorities found a shake and bake meth lab was found during raid at the trailer park.
Metz and Jenkins were both arrested for aggravated unlawful participation in methamphetamine production, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material, and methamphetamine waste. Both are lodged in the Adams County Jail.
Illinois State Police Master Sergeant Patrick Frazier reported that agents served a search warrant and seized a shake and bake methamphetamine laboratory, methamphetamine, and numerous components used in the manufacturing process.
The Illinois State Police Meth Response Team responded to the scene to dispose of the hazardous materials.
Court records indicate that Metz is currently on probation for unlawful possession of methamphetamine in Brown County and Jenkins is currently out bond in Adams County for armed violence and stalking.
