Trial date set for man in stand-off

A Quincy man charged with a criminal sexual abuse who carried on a standoff police is scheduled for trial in September.

Donald "Rick" Pruett's trial is scheduled for September 24 before Adams County Judge William Mays.

Pruett, 52, is charged with felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse and misdemeanor battery. He's accused of inappropriately touching a girl under the age of 13.

When investigators went to his home in the 1700 block of Center Cranview, Pruett barricaded himself in a bedroom for several hours. Click here for the original story.

Pruett is currently free on bond and is scheduled to return to court July 24.
