Tri-State Santa needs your help

A Tri-State Santa is now trying to help kids all year round.
You'll recall we've been telling you about Jack Bailey, who has opened up Santa's Workshop here in Beardstown. He and his elves collect donated new and used toys and delivered them to area children who wouldn't normally get a Christmas. Last Christmas, Bailey delivered Christmas gifts to more than 25 hundred children throughout the Tri-States.
Bailey says regardless of the season, the need isn't going away. He says due to economic conditions, many parents aren't able to give their children birthday presents.
Now Bailey is asking folks to help him help others.
He's asking for folks to donate new and used toys he can fix up to provide kids with a birthday gift.
Why did you decide to begin giving birthday presents?
Bailey said, "With the economic situation we have today, I can't see kids without a birthday present. It also helps the parents as well. It will give them a start in life so maybe they'll go and help people."
So far Bailey has helped provide birthday presents for 20 children.
