Hamilton Public Library closed at 2 p.m. Thursday and will reopen Friday.
The Western Illinois University-Macomb and the WIU-Quad Cities campuses will remain closed Friday, Dec. 21 due to the extreme winter weather conditions that struck the region today (Dec. 20). Only those employees designated as essential should report to work as usual. The University will observe winter break with holiday and administrative closure Monday, Dec. 24-Tuesday, Jan. 1. The WIU policy on limiting University operations because of emergency conditions is available in the Administrative Procedures Handbook, which can be viewed at wiu.edu/policies/emergency.php.
Shooterâ??s Education is canceled tonight, Dec. 20, at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center, according to the Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department. The next class for Shooterâ??s Education is scheduled Jan. 3.
