      Tractor shed burns to the ground near Perry, Illinois

      A John Deere tractor and a restored, antique Oliver tractor were lost in the fire.

      A tractor shed and thousands of dollars worth of machinery were lost in a fire east of Perry, Illinois on Wednesday.

      According to North Pike Fire Chief Paul Craig, the Griggsville and North Pike fire departments responded to the fire shortly before noon.

      When they arrived, a large tractor shed on the property of Donnie and Carmen Smith was engulfed in flames. It took about an hour to put out the blaze.

      Several pieces of equipment and machinery were lost in the fire, including a John Deere tractor and a restored, antique Oliver tractor.

      Nobody was hurt and the fire did not damage any other buildings on the property.

      A cause of the fire is not known at this time.
