Toy town has come to Quincy.
Wednesday, the Salvation Army welcomed more than a thousand families through its doors. Each with a Christmas list for their families, parents made their way down lines of toys and stuffed animals.
"They're coming in and getting brand new toys. We have used toys, we have stocking stuffers that the community has given us. Some have been purchased. They'll come and meet with a volunteer and they'll take them through to age and gender appropriate toys and they'll get three or four per child," said Major Carol Wurtz with the Quincy Salvation Army.
Each family also received a basket full of food.
Thursday, even more families will receive gifts donated from Angel Tree volunteers.
