Titan International sponsors a run for veterans

In an effort to help those who have served for our country, a non-profit organization prepares for a fundraiser at the local Veteran's home. The first annual Tri-State Warrior Run is an event that raises money to help support the unmet needs of veterans around the area.

Titan International is a sponsor of the event and donated $5,000. United Way is the fiscal sponsor for the Tri-State Warrior Outreach program, which is the group hosting the upcoming event. The program reached out to Titan because of past support for veterans the company has provided and it kept their funding local.

Last year, the program held a similar event called the Veteran's Day Run and raised more than $1,000. This year, they expect to raise more than $12,000. They have already raised $10,000.

Founders of the program said that this run is very different than any other run they have seen. It consists of a 5K run, a 10K run, and a 1 mile walk at the IL Veteran's Home in Quincy. The event takes place on November 3rd at nine in the morning.

People can sign up for the event at this website. If you want to donate, but will cannot attend the run, you can make a donation at this website.
