Three injured in three weekend crashes in Pike County

Three separate crashes in Pike County, Ill. sent multiple people to the hospital this weekend.

On Saturday night, a truck versus motorcycle crash on Rodgers St., in Barry, injured Richard D. Bernard. Bernard ran into a pickup truck, driven by Nathan W. Richards, who was attempting to turn right at the same time Bernard was trying to pass him. Bernard was airlifted to a hospital in Springfield.

That same evening, Pike County Sheriff's deputies responded to an ATV crash at 475th St. 240th Ave. in Florence. The driver, Gary R. Gresham, was taken to Illini Community Hospital. He was cited for a driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while license suspended/revoked.

Sunday, around midnight, a second ATV crash occurred at 255th Ave. County Highway #14 in Pittsfield. The driver, Mark A. Arnold, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Illini Community Hospital.

An investigation into all three crashes continues.
