Three children were removed from a home at 1000 Ohio in Quincy Thursday night and a man was arrested after a methamphetamine shake-and-bake lab was discovered by police.
Police say resident Ricky P. Barnes, 36, was arrested for aggravated unlawful participation in methamphetamine production.
The Adams County Sheriff's Office, the Quincy Police Department, the Illinois State Police Meth Response Team and the West Central Illinois Task Force served the warrant around 10 p.m.
Two small children and an infant were removed by a family member, according to police reports. Officers reported the incident to the Department of Children and Family Services and an investigation will be launched.
Barnes is lodged in the Adams County jail and will appear in court Friday.
Police say a four wheeler that was reported stolen earlier in the year was also seized from the property.
