The United Way of Adams County is once again giving you the opportunity to make a difference in your community.
Thursday afternoon the agency kicked off its annual fundraising campaign at the Quincy Holiday Inn.
This year's goal is $1,203,000.
2013 campaign chair Jerry Jackson says like many other agencies, the United Way has been effected by the economic challenges facing our country.
"We've tried to manage our expectations according to that," campaign chair Jerry Jackson said. "But we exceeded our campaign goal for last year, so that certainly put us in a more positive perspective for the campaign this year."
Money raised through the United Way of Adams County campaign supports community programs that focus on education, crisis and family services throughout the county.
