"The Quiz" could help prevent teen pregnancy

May 1 is National Prevent Teen Pregnancy Day. Teenagers across the nation are invited to participate in a quiz geared toward preventing teen pregnancy.

"The Quiz" is an online quiz that explains risky sexual situations for teenagers. CHART Teen Task Force in Northeast Missouri encourages teens to take the quiz with their parents.

Organizers say it's a good way to get parents talking with their children about the topic.

"It tells whether they are a "sexpert" or not. I think the kids like to have good grades, but sometimes they realize that maybe they don't know as much about sexuality issues as they should," CHART chair Sandra Ahlum said.

She thinks it is important to raise awareness on this topic and help teens decide to wait until they are prepared to have a child.
