The Missouri State Penitentiary attracts paranormal investigation show
Sat, 13 Apr 2013 13:40:00 GMT — The Travel Channel show "Ghost Adventures" recently explored the Missouri State Penitentiary for an upcoming episode.According to our sister station KRCG in Jefferson City, Mo. the crew filmed reenactments of the 1954 Riot and Bonnie Heady/Carl Hall double execution with the help of local actors. They also focused their attention on Housing Unit 3, which housed death row; Housing Unit 4, the oldest housing unit on the property; and the gas chamber.The "Ghost Adventures" team investigates locations from dusk until dawn under a self-imposed lockdown.The Missouri State Penitentiary episode is scheduled to air in August.Tours of the penitentiary, which was once called the "bloodiest 47 acres in America" by Time magazine, have been offered since 2009. Tour options include a two-hour history tour, a ghost tour and an overnight paranormal investigation.
