There's no denying how hot it is and while we have a break coming this weekend, it is summer in the Midwest, so we know it'll warm up again.
Once again, the Quincy Salvation Army is opening a couple of cooling centers so you can go in and rest if you don't have air conditioning or a fan.
The cooling centers are at the Kroc Center and the Family Services Building at fifth and Broadway.
It's a pretty simple setup. Inside, you'll see a row of chairs and cold water.
"They can stay here as long as it takes for them to feel better. We have only a few chairs out now because we haven't had a real need yet. We can double that number of chairs. We will make room for people who need to come in," Elizabeth Flynn with the Quincy Salvation Army said.
The cooling centers are typically open when there are heat advisories issued.
You can visit the cooling center at the Kroc Center seven days a week from 9 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon.
The cooling center at the Family Services Building is open Monday through Thursday 1 to 4 p.m.
