The Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County is once again in discussion on the status of the Gardner Museum building.
The building currently belongs to the society, but the organization is looking to partner with another organization to help sustain it.
After the museum was shut down over a year ago, the society board is continuing to look for someone to help fund it.
At an monthly society meeting, members learned more about the history of the Gardner relationship with the museum.
Originally constructed in 1888 and made a museum in 1970.
The outgoing society president hopes the public jumps up to help support the forgotten museum.
