The City of Hannibal got the OK to knock down a building that's in danger of collapsing.
A judge's ruling against the owner of 213 Broadway has cleared the way for the building's demolition.
The city attorney asked a judge to hold owner Ron Richter in contempt of court so the city could take over the building.
Before the building can be torn down, the city must stabilize the neighboring barbershop.
Two bids have already been chosen for demolition and construction.
The demolition is expected to cost about $5,000.
