The Quincy School Board approved a tentative budget for the 2014-2015 school year.
The $70 million spending plan will be on display for 30 days.
You can view it on the Quincy School District's Web site.
The school board then plans to have a final vote on the budget at its September 24th meeting.
"With the school district and with most public entities, our budgets are not like a business budget where you're looking to make a profit," Business Manager Joel Murphy. "For us, it's about a spending plan. It's about how we want to spend money to best educate kids."
The Quincy School Board also voted to extend Superintendent Steve Cobb's contract for another year with a 2 percent raise.
