Teenage driver gets probation in crash that killed a mom, dad and toddler
Two-day-old Gabriel Wilcox was the only survivor of a crash on Highway 52 in February. The crash killed Gabriel's parents and three-year-old brother.
Fri, 10 Aug 2012 15:02:59 GMT — A 19-year-old driver whose car crashed into a vehicle killing three family members received two-years probation. Emily Frakes was sentenced in Miller County Court this week. She was driving to work in February outside of Eldon, Mo. when her car crossed the center line and crashed into the car carrying the Wilcox family. The crash killed Marty Wilcox, his wife Elisa and their 3-year-old son Marty Jr. The sole survivor was the couple's two-day-old son Gabriel. The parents were taking the newborn to meet relatives. Marty Wilcox's sister lives in Monroe City, Mo. The baby is being cared for by Elisa Wilcox's mother. Read full coverage here from our sister station KRGC.
