A man escaped from an Adams County Sheriff's transport early this afternoon. A Marshall's task force arrested Henry Blackwell for multiple warrants near 12th and Harrison. He was taken into custody.
On his way to jail he got sick. When deputies opened the door the suspect ran off ... Still handcuffed.
Authorities searched the area near the 600 block of south 14th. Someone in the neighborhood tipped police to 607 S. 14th. They found Blackwell hiding in the cellar of the home.
He was arrested and taken back in to custody.
The Adams County Sheriff's Department says Blackwell, a Quincy resident, now faces several other charges after Tuesday's events.
