Suspect arrested in rash of Quincy vehicle burglaries

Wed, 25 Jul 2012 09:46:58 GMT — Quincy police have arrested a suspect in connection with the rash of weekend vehicle burglaries at the Quincy Amtrak station and Selby Implement. Tuesday investigators took Nathan L. Richeson into custody on charges of burglary to motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unrelated warrants for driving while license suspended, resisting a peace officer, and illegal pedestrian use of the roadway. This arrest is the result of an ongoing investigation by the Quincy Police Department into multiple vehicle burglaries which occurred on July 21 at the Amtrak Station at 30th & Wiseman Lane, and a location near Selby Implement's parking lot at 2221 N. 24th. Officers Information learned during the investigation led to Richeson being developed as a suspect. Upon Richeson being taken into custody, items were located on his person that were subsequently identified as stolen property. Drug paraphernalia was also recovered from Richeson at the time of his arrest. A subsequent search of an additional location produced more items of stolen property. Richeson was lodged in the Adams County Jail, pending a court appearance.
