The United Way of Adams County, Inc. projects that it will hit 104 percent of their original goal for the 2012 Campaign.
United Way Campaign Director and President of John Wood Community College John Letts announced Wednesday that the projected total funds raised is $1,183,494.
The 2012 Campaign goal was $1,138,000.
Letts says the announcement is where the campaign stands, not the final total.
"The success of any campaign is directly related to the enthusiasm and personal commitment that individuals give to ensure United Way can match resources to needs, and this year you did just that," Letts said. "That same support and enthusiasm is creating opportunities every day for a healthy and prosperous community."
Letts reminded those in attendance that "by working together, we have reached -- and surpassed -- the first goal of the 2012 campaign. Now, we look to the months ahead and accomplishing other goals."
United way will finalized the remaining 60 open accounts in the coming months.
"If you have not had a chance to give to United Way this year, there is still time and we encourage you to do so," Letts concluded.
