Strong storms possible this morning
Showers and thunderstorms are continuing this morning across the Tri-States, and the activity is expected to become more widespread as the morning goes on.
There is the chance a few thunderstorms may be on the stronger side, capable of large hail in the morning hours. The storm threat should end by noon as the cold front rolls through the area.
Thunderstorms will be capable of hail, the strongest of which may produce hail stones the size of quarters.
Nearly the entire KHQA viewing area is at risk this morning.
In addition to the storm threat, strong winds are likely as the cold front rolls through which will filter much cooler air into the area. Those gusts may approach 40mph. By Sunday morning lows will be in the upper 20s.
IMPACT: Large hail, possible approaching quarter-sized.
LOCATION: Most of the Tri-State area, mainly south of USS 136 and east of US 63.
