A street collapsed this morning in Quincy's south side.
The collapse happened about 7:30 a.m. near the 6th and Kentucky street intersection.
Central Services director Marty Stegeman said that a sewer system buckled causing the street to collapse.
Crews closed the streets around the area as a precaution.
Stegeman said there's no timetable for the sewer to be up and running again.
Side streets around the area are open to local traffic.
