Kirlin's Hallmark almost made it's goal of collecting 5,000 storybooks for our soldiers last month. With help from the Adams County Red Cross, volunteers packed and labeled 400 boxes full of the "Night Before Christmas" this evening at Kirlin's Wharehouse in Quincy. In the next week, they'll be shipped overseas to soldiers in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran along with military hospitals in Germany. Some of these storybooks will reach our overseas unit from Macomb.
After recording a story and personal message with their own voice, the books will then be delivered to each of their families just in time for Christmas.
