With Spring a week away, now is the time to start incorporating new and fresh looks into your lifestyle.
According to co-op members like Chris Taylor with District Designs, you don't have to spend a lot of money or time to spice up your life.
"The easiest way to add that little bit of color or little bit of the outdoors for Spring into your home is to consider either re-upholstery of your chair, or bench or stool, or something of that sort, because it can be very easy," Taylor said. "It doesn't cost a lot, and it's something that when you're tired of it, it's not a huge commitment piece like a sofa, so you can just change it."
When it comes to giving a twist to your plants, it's as easy as using some of the items sitting in your house says co-op member Suzy Schwartz.
"Don't throw anything away until you can look at it and say 'Now what can I use this for?'" Schwartz said.
Taylor thinks blue is the color that will hit big this Spring, and says you don't have to over-do it, to be in style.
"There's a shade of blue that you can bring into your home in a great way, whether it be small accent piece or a piece of art work, that will work in your space," said Taylor. "So get out of the beige, and get in with the blue."
District Designs will be hosting an open house "Introducing...Indigo!" to showcase some of their products and items, and it will be held on Friday, March 14, at 5pm at 509 Maine Street in Quincy.
