Smell leads to meth arrest in Adams County

Mark D. Wilson

A suspicious smell led to an Adams County man's arrest on charges related to methamphetamine manufacturing.

Mark D. Wilson, 42, of 4408 Michael St., is charged with unlawful participation in meth manufacturing and meth possession, according to a release from the West Central Illinois Task Force.

An investigation led officers to the Hultz Mobile Home Park about 6:15 p.m. Monday where they could smell a strong chemical odor normally associated with meth manufacturing, the release says.

Wilson gave officers permission to search his home where they found over 25 grams of liquid meth and drug paraphernalia, the release says.

He was taken to Adams county Jail pending a court appearance.
