Slick conditions on Hwy. 24 cause head-on crash

A head-on collision in Brown County shut down a section of Hwy. 24 Friday morning.
Slick road conditions caused a crash between Timewell and Mt. Sterling, Ill.
The roadway was closed for about a half hour Friday morning as crews worked quickly to clear the scene.
Traffic is moving again as of 10 a.m.
There is no word on any injuries at this time.
Illinois State Police District 20 reminds drivers to obey the state's Move Over Law and let the snow plows do their job. That means to slow down and use caution while traveling near or around the plow trucks. There is zero visibility in places, the roadways are snow-packed, there are multiple crashes and numerous cars in ditches.
Tpr. Mike Kindhart tells KHQA that there has been a crash with a snow plow in Scott County, Ill. on I-72, so use extreme caution.
