Investigators have a suspect in a shooting that took place late Tuesday outside of Rushville.
Schuyler County Sheriff Don Schieferdecker says that someone fired 18 rounds into the home of Craig Sperry who lives on Scottsmill Road south of Rushville.
The call came in to the office at 10:06 p.m.
After searching the yard, investigators from the Illinois State Police recovered 18 spent 22-caliber rounds.
Schieferdecker says that it appears the shots were fired from various places on Sperry's property, including the front porch.
The sheriff said that the shooting appeared to stem from a personal dispute, but added that he couldn't release the suspect's name.
"It's not a random shooting," he said. "We do feel the person is from the local area."
