A Gorin, Missouri man faces several vehicle theft charges after his arrest in Clark County, Missouri.
Matthew Coop, 27, was arrested after crashing a car stolen from a business in Memphis, Missouri, according to Clark County Sheriff Paul Gaudette.
The Clark County Sheriff's Office says it was one of seven vehicles Coop is suspected of stealing in a spree that started in June.
According to the sheriff's office, Coop would allegedly take the vehicles and drive them around before abandoning them in rural areas throughout northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa.
He faces five counts of tampering and driving without a license.
Additional charges are pending in Scotland County and Knox County in Missouri.
Sheriff Gaudette reminds everyone to remove the keys from their vehicles and keep the doors locked.
Coop is being held in Clark County Jail awaiting a court appearance.
