'Shake and bake' meth found, child removed from home

A Quincy toddler has been placed in protective custody, after an active meth lab was found in a home.

Officers with the West Central Illinois Task Force arrested 48 year-old David Day and 23 year-old Angel Smith while serving a search warrant at a home on Chestnut.

During that search, they discovered a shake and bake meth lab, marijuana and other drugs.

The duo now faces charges of aggravated meth production and child endangerment.
