Serving up walking tacos to raise money for United Way

Serving up walking tacos for United Way

A beautiful day for a cookout and especially a lunch to benefit the United Way of Adams County.

A group of employees at Quincy City Hall organized the noon time feed.

It was a walking taco and a drink for three bucks.

You could also buy a chance at winning a variety of gift baskets.

They've done this type of lunch for the past decade and in previous years, it has raised anywhere between three and four thousand dollars.

"It's a good way to raise money. We have plenty of people who come by and enjoy it. It's just a great day for it," Quincy City Clerk Jenny Hayden said.

They served up the lunch from 11 to two ... they expect to serve at least 150 walking tacos.
