Moms and moms-to-be gathered at the National Guard Armory in Hannibal Thursday for a little shopping.
The organization, Just Between Friends, the nation's leading children and maternity consignment sale franchise, sponsored a community children's consignment sale.
The sale allows residents to sell gently used items of their own, while still shopping for things they may need.
Organizers of the sale say it's a great way to recycle unwanted clothes and money.
"We just want to get the community involved because this keeps the money local," Michelle Wiginton, Just Between Friends event coordinator said. "This allows more money to stay in the household budget so they can pay bills, pay for car repairs or buy groceries and things like that. We really feel this is a blessing and a benefit to the community."
This is Hannibal's first Just Between Friends event.
Organizers hope the next season sale they'll hold in the fall will bring more consigners and shoppers.
