A Camp Point teen has been jailed after allegedly shooting a cat with an arrow.
Braden Lung, 19, is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, reckless conduct, and criminal damage to property.
Deputies responded at 9:40 p.m. to a call from a Clayton woman who said her cat had been shot with an arrow.
She told authorities the animal was suffering because it still had the arrow in it.
The bow used in the incident was seized by deputies.
The cat was transported to Katherine Road Animal Hospital but had to be euthanized.
The suspect and another subject were target practicing prior to the incident. Further investigation is pending.
Bond has not been set.
